Tim Alberts
Director of Athletics at Matignon High School. Tim is currently in graduate school at the University of Missouri and is on track to earn a Master of education (M Ed) in educational, school and counseling psychology with an emphasis in counseling psychology and a focus in positive coaching. Alberts is a member of the MIAA North Football Scheduling Committee and is a co-chair for Boys Hockey and Girls Hockey for the Catholic Central League. Alberts is the final stage of being a Certified Athletic Administrator by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association. Tim is a 2001 graduate of Marquette University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
Originally from Winchester, Alberts attended Boston College High School, where he played soccer and lacrosse under Coach Billy Ryan and Coach Tom Frisoli, respectively. Both teams won Catholic Conference titles his senior year and at the time, were the most successful soccer and lacrosse teams in school history.Alberts returned to BC High where he was Director of Alumni Relations and Assistant Director of Admissions. He also was part of the soccer and lacrosse coaching staffs.
He is married, with twin three-year old boys (Will and Sam) and resides in Reading.
Ed Cullen
Ed Cullen is in his 42nd year at Matignon High School. Ed was the Athletic Director of 30 years and is Director of the Physical Education Department and Equipment Manager for the Athletic Department . Ed graduated from Somerville High and earned a football scholarship at North Dakota State University after a year at Phillips Exeter Academy.
Ed was part of all 10 on Matignon’s Hockey Championships and is a member of the Matignon High School Hall of Fame. Ed is married and enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren.
